Amherst, N.Y. – Locally owned and operated, Amherst Alarm, Inc. has been ranked as the 21^st largest residential installation security company and the 55^th largest for commercial installations in the United States, according to the May 2011 issue of Security Distributing and Marketing (SDM) magazine. This was the six consecutive year that Amherst Alarm, Inc. has made the SDM top 100 security dealers list based on volume of residential and non-residential subscribers. SDM is the number one security industry magazine in the nation.

“In 2010, we exceeded 19,000 residential subscribers,” said owner and founder, Tim Creenan, “as well as almost 5,000 commercial systems.
